Chef Jose Luis Chele Gonzalez and his team of talented chefs create a unique fusion of Philippine and Spanish cuisine that's sure to impress. With an open and casual atmosphere, Gallery By Chele is perfect for a more refined dining experience.

10 course meal with cocktail pairing (6 cocktails). Great experience! We were in the studio lab private dining room - setting and ambience was great, service was impeccable and the food was superb. Each course took you to different parts of Chef Chele's life and memories. Flavours were exquisite and I was really impressed by the textures of the proteins and the cook on them was on point! Cocktails were greats! Desserts fantastic! They shave truffle over the burnt Basque cheesecake! Go treat yourself!

LOVE Gallery by Chele. We dined here for dinner a few years ago and also held our wedding here last month. Richelle is great to work with. The food is great, ALL our guests loved everything! Everyone forgot their diet that day jk.One dish that is absolutely unforgettable is their Kare Kare Bonbon. The Grilled Tenderloin, Octopus Laksa and Duck Pastrami board was also great. Will definitely come back for the experiential menu. I heard this time they really have you explore the place for some courses. So innovative, I’m all for it.Another thing I love about this restaurant is their art pieces. I adore their overall ambience and vibe and I’m always looking forward to their menu updates!

It was an exceptional experience. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with warm smiles and an elegant ambiance that set the perfect tone for the evening. It was a complete dining experience. The ambiance was a perfect blend of sophistication and comfort. The service was top-notch and the attention to detail was evident in every interaction. The staff were professional, attentive, courteous, and genuinely passionate about ensuring we had a wonderful time. The food was, without a doubt, the highlight of the evening. Each dish was beautifully presented, bursting with flavor, the highest quality, and it was clear that a lot of care went into the preparation of every course.

Though I didn't get to experience Gallery by Chele first hand, I'd like to commend them for their customer service. Despite being half way around the world & amidst a pandemic they eagerly assisted in processing an anniversary full course dinner for my parents. Also quick to respond with all my inquiries. My foodie parents were truly thrilled with their dining experience complete with a play by play of each dish.I also think the price is quite a value compared to most degustation's around the world. 👍

6 course meal was a delight, very interesting tastes and elaborate presentation. A mix between Japanese and Filipino recipes worth the detour! The only reason why I am not putting 5 star is for the service.. waiters did not have the behavior and care that you would expect in a restaurant of this standing

I recently visited Gallery by Chele and was blown away by the exceptional quality of the food and amazing service. We ordered their full course tasting menu. The dishes were all incredibly flavorful, with a perfect blend of everything. The portions were generous, and the presentation of each meal was as exquisite as the taste. The staff was very friendly and accommodating; they made sure that we had the best dining experience possible. I would highly recommend Gallery by Chele to anyone looking for a delicious full course meal!

We went here during dinner and we are a large group. We rented the whole place for ourselves. The food was great but food portion is not enough. Some of us, if not most, had to order another round of the main dish (tenderloin) in order to be fully satisfied. So I am giving the food only 4.5 stars given the portion. But damn food was great!! Upon arrival, we were served drinks - overflowing wine and non-alcoholic cocktails. The appetizers were good. My favorite was green tartalet!!! The mushroom soup was great! Oh my. The fish was also tasty! And I love the combination of the beef and ube for the main dish. The dessert tastes like champorado, nothing special. The ambience was great. They had a function room that can accommodate maybe around 30 people. One of my friend also said that they served really good wine, particularly the white one. Overall, I did enjoy and would recommend this place.

They offer a dining experience that is simply exquisite. The ambiance is a perfect blend of modern and cozy, making it ideal for a romantic dinner or a special celebration. The service is top-notch – attentive, friendly, and professional. Each dish we tried was bursting with flavor and creativity. They also have an excellent selection of wines, with recommendations that perfectly complement the meal. If you’re looking for an unforgettable dining experience, this is the place to be.

We celebrated my partners birthday during lunch and were the only guests the entire time. The atmosphere, food and paired cocktails were fantastic and very well thoughtfully prepared. Our waiter and the bar woman were wonderfully hosting us with explanations to everything they served. We went for the 5 course tasting menu, which actually were 8 courses, as there were 3 appetizers. Overall very well done in creating an memorable experience. Will definitely return for more food and drinks!

Earlier I had meatless set dinner there (dishes contain dairy & alliums). Restaurant ambience was romantic, staff were friendly and they explained every dishes served. All were pretty plated and delicious. 😋Do make reservations before heading down and check with them for any dietary request.

Having spent the better part of my working life in Singapore, I was particularly intrigued by their take on the laksa. It’s definitely not the same laksa you’ll find in Singapore and Malaysia. The thin broth is laksa, with the mildly spicy tang, but everything else has been improvised. There are no noodles. It also doesn’t have the typical toppings of shrimp, cockles and tofu. Instead, it has sliced octopus tentacles marinated and cooked the inasal way. Inasal is a uniquely Filipino cooking technique of soaking meat in, among many other combinations, a mixture of calamansi, pepper, coconut vinegar and annatto, and then grilling it over hot coals while basting it with the marinade.Did it work? It did for me, though hardcore laksa lovers may say, “No”.

They try to be a fine dining restaurant but they cannot really deliver on that… The service is friendly but feels not authentic and a bit too robotic. The water is poured from a big jug and it looks like you are on a camping site with no running water. The food is mostly good but also mostly lacks any depth or compelxity. Especially the bites you get in the beginning feel shallow. The non-alcoholic cocktail pairing was the actually the best part of the evening. At a price point of around $250 for two people it feels too much for the quality recieved. All in all we would not come back and also not recommend this restaurant to people looking for fine dining.

Food was amazing, I would say it was more of an experience rather than devouring into the food that was being presented. I like how the server informs us the origin of the food in each course. The dessert was just *chef's kiss*. I love it and you will too! (just prepare your wallet cause it's gonna be really expensive)

Angeline T — Google review

Enjoyed almost everything on the 10 course tasting menu — particularly the dorado, the kare kare bonbon and the laksa inasal. Absolute perfection, so delicious and creative. IMO Michelin star quality food!

Gallery by Chele exceeded our expectations with their 10-course menu, three starters, and cocktail pairing. Every dish was a delicious masterpiece, showcasing creativity and attention to detail. The cocktails perfectly complemented the flavors, and the staff were knowledgeable and attentive. For a memorable culinary adventure, visit Gallery by Chele.

Craving a taste of Filipino cuisine with a modern twist? Look no further than Gallery by Chele! This hidden gem elevates classic dishes with fusion flair, offering a truly unique dining experience. Every bite is a delightful surprise, where familiar flavors get a creative twist. The service is as impressive as the food - friendly, attentive, and incredibly fast. And to top it all off, the restaurant boasts a vibrant, artsy atmosphere that's perfect for a special occasion. Don't miss out on this gem!

If you ever plan to visit or dine in, make sure to reserve in advance and prepay a deposit to select your dishes! Try the Q set menu with 6 or 10 dishes, or just pay for each person. The place is comfy and stylish, with soft lights perfect for hanging out with pals or having a romantic date. (5k per person)The food looks amazing, and the waiters tell you all about it. But sometimes you might have to wait a bit between dishes, so be ready for a 3-hour meal. They mix Spanish and Filipino flavors in a creative way. Bring a jacket because the air conditioning inside is pretty chilly.

08/10/24 - Spent my birthday here. Overall, the food was good. The staff were attentive, but I got the feeling that they only care about providing a good service towards my partner, who's a foreigner. In the end, they would ask how the food was, but they literally just asked him and not me. So, obviously, they don't really care about my experience. They would explain the food, and some of the staff would just look at him when talking (made it seem like they're talking only to him and not the both of us).I know that's probably not a big deal for some, but for me, that was part of the overall experience. Though they weren't technically rude, the feeling of being disregarded is enough to make the experience less satisfactory.

They are trying but not really. It feels like no one really cares, they are there to do the service and leave. We have similar dining in different countries and I was excited. The booking process was frustrating, there was not much availability on their website but plenty true to reserve a table true Google. Strange business concept. The atmosphere was OK, nothing special. A lot of people served us through the evening. We started with an overwhelming amount of waiters and with no one to give us the check at the end. As the night progressed the staff was leaving. We had a 10 course dinner with the pairing whines. Our reservation was at 6:30 and it took us 4 hours. The chef - I didn't see him cooking in the kitchen, no personal touch. He came to visit two of the tables around us and never showed up again. Probably tired of connect with customers. This seemed ignorant to me.The food was OK, nothing memorable. The servers did not spend much time explaining the food or the story behind it. Often it was just delivered without any effort or attention.Best pick - the birthday came with the sloppy presentation, my personal favorite. The wines -we got the paired wines. That was the worst wine pairing experience. I am not a wine snob, but I do know the wines and I do have some pairing experience. They couldn't provide a wine menu that was paired with the food. 5 of 8 whines didn't go well with the food they were served with. We asked who had decided on the pairing and how they pitched the whines, the gay who was serving the wines could not answer any of the questions. At the end he asks us how we will pair it, and what wine we pair with what dish. Interesting concept, but claiming for a high end venue. I find it a very strange approach.

I recently celebrated my birthday here. My family and I had a great time. We got their set menu (vegetarian, grouper, and tenderloin). The food (even the surprise birthday cake) was remarkable, and the service made our experience better. My brothers tried their vegetarian set menu, which is a must-try, even for meat lovers. We were also surprised that one of the chefs went out of her way to explain the last course personally. She gave us a small token of appreciation for supporting their sustainability mission. It was a nice gesture!Lastly, we are happy with Joy’s, Calel’s, and their maître d's service. They were confident in explaining each dish. We also noticed that the maître d' was attentive to all customers, regardless of where they were seated. We highly recommend dining at Gallery By Chele!

Gallery by Chele in Taguig offered an extraordinary culinary journey through Filipino cuisine with its 10-course meal 🤩Each dish was a testament to the richness and diversity of Filipino flavors, expertly blending tradition with innovation!!The chef's creative use of traditional ingredients resulted in dishes that were both familiar and exciting. From savory ceviche-inspired creations to delicate sinigan dishes, every bite was a burst of authentic Filipino taste in the theme of cacao this year 🩵The wine waiter added to the experience with professional service and a delightful sense of humor, making the wine pairings not only delicious but also enjoyable. Maybe a bit too generous sometimes 👀🫶Overall, Gallery by Chele delivered an unforgettable dining experience, showcasing the best of Filipino cuisine with every flavorful bite 🤤Highly recommended for anyone seeking a culinary adventure in Taguig 😁

Visited in March.Philippines - Manila. MakatiA restaurant worthy of a Michelin star. My husband and I frequent many high-end establishments, and dined at over 20 Michelin-rated restaurants, and this establishment certainly lives up to those standards.Atmosphere:The interior is aesthetically pleasing, striking a balance between elegance and simplicity. The design features are interesting, with a sophisticated rather than overly luxurious ambiance. I particularly enjoyed the interactive element of trying appetizers in various settings such as the bar or their personal garden where they grow herbs. This attention to detail showcases their commitment to creating an unforgettable experience for guests.Food:The entire meal was meticulously planned. Opting for a 10-course dinner, we were delighted to find that the menu was Filipino-inspired, utilizing local ingredients, flavors, and culinary techniques. The journey began with a series of small bites, each transporting us to different regions of the Philippines, where the reinterpretation of street food stood out.The fish courses were exceptional: The fish ceviche paired with cocoa beans was a sensory delight; The lobster expertly cooked with local flavors was amazing; The octopus was remarkably tender and skillfully prepared on the grill, adding a hint of smokiness. The main courses featured impeccably cooked, crisp-skinned duck with accompanied by incredibly flavorful sauces. Despite not typically being a fan of duck, this dish was enchanting. However, the Wagyu beef in the final hot dish fell short compared to the other outstanding dishes. This discrepancy might be attributed to the cut chosen, as the meat lacked the expected tenderness and melt-in-your-mouth quality typical of Japanese A5 Wagyu. The meal concluded with exquisite desserts, with the chocolate mousse being a personal favorite. Its delicate, rich flavor beautifully captured the essence of cocoa beans and paired wonderfully with the accompanying ice cream.Service:The service was attentive and thorough. Each dish was eloquently explained in terms of its conception and preparation. Dirty dishes were promptly cleared, and we felt well taken care of throughout the meal—a hallmark of fine establishments. Conclusion:I highly recommend indulging in a dining experience at this restaurant at least once. Crafting a stellar tasting menu is a challenging feat achieved by only a select few, and Gallery by Chele has undeniably mastered this art.

What I loved most about this restaurant was the little surprises. A welcome tour, welcome appetizers, and welcome take home items were fantastic. It was more of an experience than a dinner. I had the 10 course meal, but it was more like 18 courses. I left very full and satisfied, and out of the disappointing restaurant experiences I endured during my 4 weeks in the Philippines, this was by far the best and well worth the price.

Had a 10 course food and wine pairing dinner with colleagues. My expectations were high considering that this restaurant once landed in the top 50 best restaurants in Asia. I liked how they elevated the Filipino favorites and added their own unique twist to it. Not all dishes were a winner for me though, as some were out of balance. For example, the sauce on their wagyu steak was too sour and it affected my appreciation of the meat. Let’s just say that some local flavors are not suited for haute cuisine. Service also seemed hurried and inconsistent. Some of the staff seemed to be just mouthing off the description of the dishes and the wine. But overall it was still a great experience and I would still recommend this place for those looking to experience Filipino gastronomy.

A great sensory experience. Chele's dishes leaned towards bright but gentle flavors. Textures are well balanced, Taste and flavors are very complex. Ambience and service is outstanding. Expensive, but worth the visit especially for occasions.

What a wonderful experience. We had the 10 course vegetarian tasting menu - but in reality this was more like 17 courses. When we arrived we were greeted with our first appetizer at a counter, we then were taken to the 'garden' for our 2nd appetizer before we even got to the table. A further three followed, before we kicked into the menu. We also had the cocktail pairing - about 6 drinks in total. The staff were very attentive, welcoming and described each dish / cocktail to you, so that you really could understand what you were eating or drinking.Great experience - I'd defo recommend!

Me and my partner celebrated her Birthday here at Gallery By Chele. It was a very pleasant environment, very welcoming. We had the 10 course meal and the food is really superb. They explained every dish however we felt that some of the servers were nonchalant and were talking really fast that we couldn't gather everything that they were saying. It takes away from the whole experience. Nonetheless, they were so kind to let me take pictures and videos while they were preparing the food. I still recommend this place.

Ordered the ala carte set menu two. As I have read some mixed reviews when it comes to their tasting menus. We ate the finger foods by order as listed on the menu. Started with the tomato sinigang and the salmon tartare which were both plain and underwhelming. But from the kare kare bonbon onwards everything became interesting.Ceviche was fresh and the octopus salad was good!Charcuterie board was okay. Wish there was a bit of cheese. The sourdough was very good with its mango preserves and cashew nuts.Steak was well cooked and balanced with the perfect amount of fat. Ube mash was yum! Also, best cheese cake ever! Now, onto some negatives.* The duck fried rice was too salty.* Sever assigned to us was probably new (no biggie) - he just forgets his lines when explaining the food resulting in an awkward moment.* another set of greens was served with the mains. After having the octopus salad I think that should have been changed into something elseOverall, i’m happy with the experience and can go back to dine again soon.

⭐⭐⭐☆☆Visited this restaurant for my wife’s birthday, and while the experience had its highlights, it had some shortcomings as well. The food was undeniably delicious, with each dish crafted to perfection and bursting with flavor. The service was also excellent—attentive, knowledgeable, and friendly. However, the portion sizes for the bites and the main course were insanely miniscule (imagine getting 1 bite for each appetizer and sharing a single steak). For the price we paid, it is absurd to receive such tiny servings. Although the salad portion was adequate and we didn't leave hungry, the balance between cost and portion size for the bites and main course was disappointing. In summary, if you're looking for exquisite flavors and top-notch service, this place delivers. But be prepared for a steep bill and some disappointingly small portions for certain parts of the meal.

Visited in Feb 2024My dinner at Gallery By Chele was my best dining experience during my Manila trip (which also included visits to Metiz and Toyo Eatery). They have a new menu, and in my view, they have absolutely knocked it out of the park with this new menu. The new “Journey” dinner menu is officially a 11-course menu but with the amuse bouche and other complementary dishes, the whole dinner is almost like 18-20 courses. The dinner starts with a complementary homemade kombucha drink followed by a tour of their in-house garden where quite a few of the ingredients are grown. After that you are led to your table and seated meal starts with a bunch of complementary courses which were absolutely delightful. For the 11 courses which are part of the “Journey” menu, I ended up liking several of them very much - the octopus satay, the citrus lobster, the duck cacao, and the tuna belly inasal.I did not order any drinks but there are drink pairing options available for those interested (alcoholic and non-alcoholic).Service is very good. The restaurant was kind to cater to my allergies by replacing certain components of some dishes. This place is a 200% recommendation for people visiting and staying in Manila. One of the top-notch fine dining places in the city.

First time to try a tasting menu. Ganito pala yon. Dishes were explained...recited rather, so diners can prepare their buds on what to expect. I wish the servers were a bit more passionate in their spiels tho. Wag naman parang mumbling lang. Give us excitement, make us want to taste what you are talking about. Every savoury dish served was good. Subtly flavored, beautifully made. It really is a feast for all senses. But the palate cleansers/ dessert lacks something... also the drinks. We had the la trinidad strawberry drink that tasted like watered down milkshake. Is it worth going? A resounding YES. Ang galing galing.

It’s amazing to see Filipino food and ingredients brought up to such a high level. Many people these days are trying to keep Filipino food down at the level of only being consumed with family and basic presentation. Gallery by Chele proves that Pinoy food not only can be incredible when home cooked with love, but also at the top end of fine dining to compete on the world stage. Out of all the restaurants in Manila, it certainly feels the first Michelin Star of the Philippines could possibly go in Gallery’s direction. I certainly hope so.

Harry P — Google review

Reservation was straightforward via Viber, followed by an email requesting a reservation fee (1500php/head). We were seated in the intimate and dimly lit main gallery, although upon reaching the place, we would actually prefer the open space to watch the kitchen's action. The experience began with a mini tour and welcome bites. We opted for the 2024 vegetarian 10-course tasting menu. The food was intriguing; familiar dishes like sinigang and kare kare were creatively reimagined—the sinigang taste captured in a single tomato and kare kare as an explosive ball. The textures and flavors were captivating, offering a unique twist on traditional Filipino cuisine. While some dishes were on the salty and sour side, it may be reflective of Filipino culinary preferences. For instance, the main course was notably salty for our taste. If you are not fan of salty dishes then maybe you can ask them to tone it down a bit. Some of the first dishes are also acidic, just a word of caution for those who are very sensitive or have hyperacidity. The tofu wrapped in kale with adobo sauce and rice was exceptional, showcasing how vegetables alone can create such rich flavors.Among the desserts, all three were delightful, especially the chocolate option. If there's a critique, it would be the lackluster energy from some servers, particularly the men, who appeared disinterested and mechanical in their interactions. This contrasted with the enthusiastic kitchen staff, who were eager to engage and even offered to take photos of us around the restaurant, sharing insights about the ingredients. The difference in their enthusiasm and energy was very noticeable. I feel like the experience would have been miles better if the servers were more passionate.Overall, I would recommend this restaurant for its creative approach to Philippine cuisine.
